Services include recreational horsemanship lessons in the English and Western discipline, summer camps, horse shows, trail rides, birthday pony parties, badge events, and equine related clinics. Walnut Grove Farms specializes in providing a safe and educational experience for any level rider in multiple disciplines. Climate-controlled riding areas allow our recreational program to continue year round.

Therapeutic Riding Program
Mission Statement: Providing a safe, therapeutic location and atmosphere for those with special needs and disabilities that can benefit from equestrian activities.

Walnut Grove Therapeutic Center Inc. started in December of 2021 and is a division of Walnut Grove Farms that holds its 501 (c)(3) non-profit status making any donations tax deductible. Donations can be accepted in Cash, Checks payable to Walnut Grove Therapeutic Center, and through PayPal. Monetary donations go directly to maintaining our beautiful herd of horses, maintaining and upgrading our facility to provide the best therapeutic experience for our riders, as well as providing quality adaptive tack and equipment for our riders and horses.

Our therapeutic lessons are proudly conducted by Master Level CECTH certified instructors. Therapeutic riding offers many benefits for a variety of diagnoses, including physical, emotional, and cognitive diagnoses. It can help to improve balance and coordination, strengthen posture, and increase range of motion. Some emotional benefits include building a relationship with your horse, decision making, communication, self awareness, and a sense of accomplishment. Cognitive benefits include developing simple and complex sequencing, learning horsemanship knowledge, and so much more. We also offer specialized group programming including a cancer support group, a youth at risk group, and a senior group.
~Our riding programs are always centered around our clients’ goals and a customized program will be developed specifically for each rider’s individual needs. The success of our program requires each horse to have a calm disposition and confirmation that benefits the riders needs. Climate-controlled riding areas allow our therapeutic program to continue year round.~
